We have loved welcoming 35 volunteers from St James’s Place across five days, working alongside clients to build a cob pizza oven and support projects around the garden.
A big thank you to Matthew (coboven.co.uk) for his expertise in creating the oven, and to the St James’s Place volunteers for bringing such great energy to the project. We are also very grateful to the St James’s Place Charitable Foundation for fully funding this initiative.
This is not just a pizza oven. It has been a shared project that brought people together, building skills, confidence and connections. Once it dries for a week or two, it will play a key role in our cookery courses, helping participants learn to prepare healthier pizzas, as well as supporting celebration events and evening socials.
