Chantelle, Day Services Manager

Hi I'm Chantelle and I lead the day services for the charity. I've been working at Reach for over 10 years and have more than 20 years' experience working with adults with learning disabilities.

I'm really passionate about creating a person-centred and client-led service. At our Centres people can take part in activities they know and love, try new things, have fun and make friends.

Our vibrant day services offer a wide choice of activities, creating opportunities for people to gain the vital skills and confidence that are the foundation to making a good life in the community.

Walk into any centre, and you’ll find people enjoying courses like cookery, art, gardening, computers and lots more. Smiles, laughter and friendship abound. Our day trips, holidays and evening socials are also very popular, offering opportunity for affordable socialising and leisure.

Many of our special projects to tackle complex problems are also run from our Centres.

When life is extra difficult, our expert staff are on hand to help clients and families find solutions. Everything we offer is shaped to meet the needs of the people we support. You can find out more about support for families here.

Centre Managers lead a team of dedicated, expert staff skilled at tailoring activities around individual needs and goals, making a life-changing difference. By sharing their skills, time and community connections, local volunteers are also instrumental in supporting people to achieve change.

Across the charity, all staff collaborate to help meet individual needs and aspirations. For example, Centre and Reach Care staff worked closely to support 12 adults with learning disabilities and their families to prepare for transition into our Southwell accommodation - a testimony to exceptional dedication and teamwork.
