Hello
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the beautiful weather we have had this week.
We have had horticultural volunteers at both Southwell and Newark Flower Pods this week, and it’s been great to see clients and volunteers working together again in the sunshine.
At the moment, the government roadmap out of lockdown limits the number of people we can have in each centre at any one time, however as restrictions are lifted we hope to be able to reintroduce volunteers into the centres towards the end of this month.
Everyone has been really busy, and the clients have produced some excellent work.
Flower Pod Newark clients and volunteers have been involved in planting potatoes, beetroot, and lettuce along with the new D’Oyly Carte horticultural course.
Flower Pod Southwell clients enjoyed a brilliant session from Nicky using mosaics to decorate bird boxes and other items, whilst Sam and volunteers started on the compost loo’s living roof.
