November Volunteer Round Up

Hello Everyone,

We hope you are all keeping well and staying safe.

Whilst all the Reach centres have still not fully re-opened to pre-covid levels and volunteering opportunities are limited, where it is safe to do so we are continuing to re-introduce client sessions.

As you can see from the centre round ups and photos below the clients have been really busy and it has been great to see so many of them really enjoying themselves.

Reach Mansfield

The clients return to sessions has been very eventful, with activities including Fitness, Autumn walks, Music and Crafts.

Reach Newark

It has been a really busy month at Newark with service users involved in sessions covering Sports, Fun and Fitness, Cooking, Moving Forward and Music.

Reach Southwell

In addition to Media, Music and Crafts, the Southwell group was visited by Dr Helen Bates, Community Engagement Officer from the Leaves of Southwell Project, Southwell Minster who spoke to everyone about the history of the Chapter House. After the talk everyone designed and made leaf lantern holders.

Flower Pod Southwell

Thanks to the hard work of clients, volunteers, and staff the gardens are looking really impressive, with cleared paths and beds. The construction of the new composting toilet is fast approaching completion with the hard working ’Bog Boys’ doing an amazing job.  In addition to maintaining the garden the clients have been building bug houses, creating flower displays, crafting, and collecting materials on autumn walks.

Flower Pod Newark

The clients and staff have been working really hard to develop the garden and ponds whilst also engaging in crafts (making dream catchers) and pumpkin carving.
