What a lovely Summer our clients have had!
The beginning of the season was celebrated at Reach Newark by clients hosting their first disco since the pandemic. Everyone dressed up as film stars – the movie-themed costumes were great!
Reach Southwell practised their swing shots at the local driving range together one sunny day. Clients also cheered on the Tour of Britain cyclists in the In, Out and About group – lots of flags were waved!
Flower Pod had a fantastic time at the Deerstock festival, with staff, clients and volunteers getting involved to host the stall at the event. The Green Citizens project has seen clients counting butterflies, making bird tables and feeding hedgehogs to help conserve wildlife local to the area.
Homemade blackberry and raspberry jam has been bubbling over at Flower Pod Newark after clients harvested berries from the site. We also had a staff building team day there, helping to weed, dig and prepare beds for clients to plant up!
At Newark, clients from the Happy Lives group have been creating their own dream castles, using recycled materials and painting them for the finished look.
At Reach Mansfield, the Health and Fitness group held a sports day in the local park, complete with an egg and spoon race and a picnic afterwards! Clients also held their Summer Concert in July, with lots of singing, dancing and laughter! Mansfield’s Art group worked together to make a joint piece of art using long custom-made paint brushes.
After such a fun-filled Summer, everyone is ready to keep busy during the Autumn term!
