Holidays & More!

Progress towards £16,000 target
100%

Thank you to our Big Give Christmas Challenge supporters - you did it!

You helped us exceed our £16,000 target in just one week to support our Holidays and More project.

Funds raised will help us to offer safe, supportive opportunities for adults with learning disabilities in Nottinghamshire to get out and about again. Your gift will enable our staff to plan holidays that meet individual needs and to put together a fun programme of day trips that build confidence and independence. Family carers will also benefit from respite from their caring duties and will be free to enjoy time to themselves.

We have seen the real difference that our holidays and trips make to the people we support. Our clients look forward to their next holiday with Reach all year - thank you again for helping us to make it possible!

We'd like to say a big thank you to our charity champion The Reed Foundation and to our pledgers including first4care and local individuals.

Your donation will be worth twice as much when you donate during Big Give Christmas Challenge week. For further information email sarah.cobb@reachuk.org or see our ways you can help page for more ideas on how you can get involved. Visit the Big Give Christmas Challenge website between 30th November and 7th December to make your donation.

People with learning disabilities (our clients) are one of the most ‘easy-to-ignore’ groups in society and are currently at higher risk than ever of loneliness and poor physical and emotional wellbeing due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Problems include low self-confidence, low self-esteem, phobias and increased social anxiety. Many rely on low incomes or live in areas with poor public transport and little opportunity for social and leisure experiences beyond Nottinghamshire.

Your support will help us to deliver a choice of low-cost supported holidays, day trips and social activities benefitting people with learning disabilities in Nottinghamshire.

Thank You

to our Big Give Christmas Challenge supporters - you did it!

You have helped us raise £40,000 to raise funds towards our 'My Place Online' project to provide online learning and social activities to people with learning disabilities and their family carers in Nottinghamshire. In just one week!

Thanks to supporters like you, people with learning disabilities will have new opportunities to feel connected to other people and take part in online community life. Funds raised will also help family carers to feel more confident about accessing online information, networks, resources and services to have better access to timely support and advice for their family member with a learning disability.

By donating via the Big Give Christmas Challenge your donation was doubled and so had double the impact too. Your gift will have an impact on the lives of local people today and in the future.
