Coronavirus and Me

In Chelsea's Blog by Chelsea

After Coronavirus first began, I didn’t really know what it was or if there would be a cure. I couldn’t see my family and friends or go anywhere to do anything we had to stay indoors and only go out to do exercise or shop for essential things.
We were not able to hug each other.
I was scared because I was also worried about myself or my family getting sick.
Day Service stopped for a while, but they did Zoom meetings online and they did activity packs, so I didn’t get bored, and I got to see my friends.
My Reach Care staff always kept me safe by wearing a mask and washing their hands. They also helped me get through the tricky times and adapt to the new way of living.
When things stared to get better Day Service started to open but there was social distancing, one way systems, washing your hands when you came in and wearing masks to keep everybody safe.
Having the vaccine has made me feel more positive about being protected and I’m really happy I didn’t end up in hospital.

I am really excited to see my friends and family again and see my activities start again.
Thinking about Coronavirus now I still have questions.
When will Coronavirus end?
Will we have the Coronavirus vaccine on top of the flu vaccine every winter?
Will we have to live with it forever?
Coronavirus is still here but we just have to keep washing our hands and wearing masks to
keep each other safe.

I am going to keep enjoying life in the new normal until Coronavirus has completely gone away.
