John – Reach Volunteer
John has been attending Reach Mansfield and Flower Pod Southwell for some years. He wanted to do some volunteering that enabled him to get out and about and meet other people, and to be active. Our Volunteer Manager arranged for John to accompany him in our Reach van when travelling between centres once a week.
John takes enormous pride in his role, he says:
“I enjoy helping Wayne do deliveries in the Reach van. We have been to all the Reach centres to drop off or collect equipment that people use for doing gardening and other things like that. I love helping Reach and I love being a volunteer. Being a volunteer is great, it makes me feel useful and lets me meet everyone at all the centres.”
